CHAD HOBSON IS A COMPOSER WITH EXTENSIVE CREDENTIALS IN FILM AND TELEVISION.

His work in film includes a wide range of genres, including gritty urban drama such as Adulthood (Noel Clarke, Plan B), epic fantasy like Stardust (Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer), and comedy such as Anuvahood (Adam Deacon) and Shaun the Sheep: The Movie.

Recent projects include the Emmy award-winning documentary, Leaving Neverland; The Fires that Foretold Grenfell; Dispatches: Inside Facebook; two-time BAFTA and Grierson award-winning The Paedophille Hunter directed by Dan Reed; the BBC’s BAFTA award-winning series Our War; and the powerful drama A Song For Jenny, directed by Brian Percival and starring Emily Watson.

Chad’s diverse talents as a composer and performer have prompted collaborations with many prestigious figures in the film industry. He arranged and played Asian ethnic instruments, supported by a full orchestra, for James McTeigue and the Wachowskis’ Ninja Assassin. He also provided vocals and choral arrangements for the classically scored The Young Victoria, produced by Martin Scorsese and starring Emily Blunt.

His associations with leading film composer Ilan Eshkeri and Grammy-award winning score producer Steve McLaughlin have led him to contribute to other high-profile films, including Stardust, Hannibal Rising, Battle of Haditha, and Johnny English Reborn.

Other work for television includes the BAFTA award-winning BBC1 series Fight for Life, Series 8 of Waking the Dead, Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food, BAFTA-nominated Help Me Help My Child, and the EMAs (MTV European music awards), as well as style icon Ozwald Boateng’s feature documentary A Man’s Story and his renowned fashion shows around the world.
